Cheesecake Recipe |
This is Bob's Mother-in-law's
(Betty's mom) reciepe for her Amazing Cheesecake. |
Ingredients: Tools: **Remove Cream Cheese from refrigerator at least 3 hours prior to making cake and cut into small pieces. Heat oven to 300 degrees. Pour Graham Cracker Crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 1/2 sticks of butter (MELTED) into 9"x 13" baking pan. Stir to form crust. Bake 5 minutes, then cool. Separate 5 eggs; Yolks in a large bowl and whites in a small bowl. In large bowl, mix 5 separated egg yolks, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 1/2 pounds cream cheese (already cut into small pieces). Mix with electric mixer until smooth and creamy - there should be no lumps! In small bowl, beat egg whites until they peak. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Topping: Whisk (do not beat) 1 1/2 pints sour cream,
1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla gently until sugar is dissolved. Place in refrigerator covered loosely with a sheet
of wax paper - do not cover tightly. Now PIG OUT! |
