MACHINE ROOM

For all the techs out there, we've included a couple of shots of the machine room. It's not the most glamorous room, but it is a clean and easy place to work. We no longer have the tape machines. The 24-track analog Studer has taken up residence at our Berkeley St. Studio, where it was brought back to life with new power supply caps & brakes by our good friend, Danny Bucannan. The Sony digital 48-track DASH HR machine is on permanent loan to Cups 'N Strings, a studio that specializes in audio transfers to various DAW formats.
The room now features a rack of our new Apogee Symphony I/O converters.

Here's a closeup of the Symphony rack. The top one is connected to our Mix Print ProTools rig and contains an 8-channel AD/DA card. The bottom three are connected to the ProTools multitrack rig. The 1st of the three contains two 8-channel AD/DA cards and the bottom two each contain two 16-channel D to A cards. This gives the rig a total of 16 analog inputs and 80 analog outputs.
Both rigs are still running on Mac G5's and will hopefully be upgraded to the latest Intel machines soon.
