Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band

"The Promise"

So Bruce goes digging through his vault containing the many songs he and the ES Band recorded for his "Darkness" album, circa 1978 and— what do you know—he digs up over 20 great songs that could have been included on any of his best albums! BC was happy to oblige Bruce by doing his best with the mixes. "The Promise" is just one disc of a brilliant package that includes the remastering of the original Darkness album, a Thom Zimny -directed documentary about the making of Darkness along with various old & new live video performances of the original darkness tunes (on DVD), most of which were also mixed by BC.

Alehandro Escovedo

Alejandro Escovedo

This guy should be a huge star. He's been making great records for years, unfortunately a bit under the radar for most of us. Bob got to mix his latest, fantastic album "Street Songs of Love", produced by the legendary Tony Visconti. Alejandro is managed by BC's good friend, Jon Landau.

Alejandro Sanz

Alejandro Sanz

Yes, it would appear that BC is popular with artists named "Alejandro". This one is a truly fantastic Latin singer, produced by Bob's friend, the incredibly talented Tommy Torres.

Fairground Boys

JP, Chrissie & the Fairground Boys

Bob, Betty & Brandon have recently been hosting radio shows at their Berkeley St. Studio for KCRW, the local NPR redio station. One of the artists happened to be these guys, Bob's old friend Chrissie Hynde's new band. They had just finished their debut album, "Fidelity!" and asked BC if he'd like to dial up some mixes for them. Between loving the songs they played at the show and being the huge Chrissie Hynde fan he is, he jumped at the chance! You gotta hear this album!

Lucinda Williams

Lucinda Williams

BC was lucky enough to be asked by his good friend, producer Don Was to mix this latest collection of Lucinda's brilliant songs. The album is called "Blessed" and the first single is called "Buttercup". Don't miss this one!

Stones07

Bob, Don Was & Mick Jagger spent a couple of weeks in December of 2009 mixing various leftover tracks from the Stones' Exile on Main Street sessions from the late 60's. Some were unused basic tracks with new overdubs that Mick recently wrote lyrics to, some were earlier outtakes of songs that were on the album and a couple were simply songs they never used that we mixed as they were recorded. "Soul Survivor" is the same track that's on the album with a slightly different mix arrangement, but it has Keith's original scratch vocal instead of Mick's final LV. Pretty interesting!
The disk is iincluded with the Exile re-release.

Squeeze

Bob recently had the great pleasure of mixing a live album for one of his all-time favorite bands. These guys are still incredible, from The Fillmore in SF.

Squeeze

Glenn Tilbrook

This unbelievably talented Squeeze veteran has produced a tremendous new album with his other band, "The Fluffers". Bob, being a huge Squeeze fan, jumped at the chance to mix this one called "Pandemonium Insues", and advises everyone to also jump to buy and listen to it. We guarantee you'll be glad you did.

Ricky Martin

Ricky's producer, Desmond Child stopped in to our Berkeley St. Studio last spring to record an album's worth of drum tracks with the brilliant drummer, Josh Freese. BC mixed this album in October at Mix This! that has debuted on Billboard's pop album chart at #3, and the Latin chart at #1. Need I say more?

Kramer Cooking Jon Brion Eddie Kramer

Some friends, including Jon Brion and one of Bob's heros, Eddie Kramer came over for dinner one evening. Eddie impressed us all with his remarkable cooking skills in our new outdoor kitchen.
